Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Elevated Expressway (SUKE) project team is overseeing by the Group CEO of PROLINTAS; led by a General Manager who is assisted by Project Managers , all of whom comes with broad civil engineering and public infrastructure experience, locally and abroad.
The team and their turnkey counterparts are responsible for ensuring every aspect of the planning, designing, constructing and operations including contractor and consultant management adheres to PROLINTAS stringent processes, acts and regulations.
Chief Operating Officer (Project & Operations)
Ir. Rostam Shahrif Tami
Ir. Rostam Shahrif Tami was appointed Chief Operating Officer (Project & Operations) in 2016. He currently oversees PROLINTAS’ overall operations for projects and operations under its subsidiaries namely Projek Lintasan Kota Sdn Bhd, PROLINTAS Expressway Sdn Bhd, Projek Lintasan Shah Alam Sdn Bhd, Projek Lintasan Sungai Besi-Ulu Klang Sdn Bhd, Projek Lintasan Damansara-Shah Alam Sdn Bhd, Sistem Lingkaran-Lebuhraya Kajang Sdn Bhd and Turnpike Synergy Sdn Bhd.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (First Class Honours) Degree in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic of East London, England. He started his career in 1990 as a Structural/Bridge Engineer at Minconsult Sdn. Bhd. before joining Pengurusan Lebuhraya Bhd and later Malaysian Resources Corporation Bhd. He joined PROLINTAS in January 1998.
General Manager
Zakaria Shaffie
Zakaria Bin Shaffie, aged 62, Malaysian, joined Prolintas Group of Companies in September 2022 as a General Manager for Projek Lintasan Sungai Besi-Ulu Klang Sdn Bhd (SUKE). He was previously with the Ekovest Group, from 2013 up till 2020. As the General Manager (Business Development & Operation) and also a Project Director for Ekovest, he was involved in the implementation and construction of Setiawangsa-Pantai Expressway (SPE) and Duta-Ulu Kelang Expressway (DUKE) Phase 2. Previously, he oversaw all operational matters of DUKE Phase 1. He has more than 30 years of experience in the highway industry. Prior to Ekovest, Zakaria’s senior roles included being the General Manager (Traffic Safety Division) and as the Regional Manager (Operations Division, from 1988 till 2010) for Projek Lebuhraya Usahasama Berhad (PLUS Berhad). In his former roles in PLUS Berhad, Zakaria was responsible for planning, developing and monitoring the implementation of Traffic Management and Safety Strategies and also the Expressways Regional Operations in accordance with the company’s vision. His role included establishing and implementation of plans, measures to improve and ensure safety as well as quality service levels of expressways. As a Project Director for the construction of both DUKE Phase 2 and Setiawangsa Pantai Expressway (SPE), Zakaria has been tasked to coordinate all works involved as well as other engagements with the Authorities and stakeholders. Zakaria was also a Director of several subsidiary companies within the Ekovest Group. He graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from University of Hartford, Ct. USA in 1987. His earlier years’ of working experience were with Kuala Lumpur City Hall (Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur) upon attaining his Diploma in 1981.Senior Manager
Mohd Bazly Bin Said
Upon graduating from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 1994 with a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, he began his career as Junior Tunnel Engineer with Balfour Beatty for Pergau Hydro Electric Project in Kelantan. He involved in the construction of a 4.0 km water tunnel for Sungai Terang Water Intake Station. He later joined Sato Kogyo Co Ltd of Japan as Project Engineer for the New Klang Straits By-Pass Toll Expressway Project in 1996 and responsible for the construction of bridges and utilities and services relocation works.
Later joined Ahmad Zaki Resources Berhad in June 1999 as Construction Manager and led a team to complete the design and build project, The Proposed Upgrading of Jalan Duta to Jalan Matrade Project until 2002. Left Ahmad Zaki Resources Berhad in 2002 to enhance his career with New Pantai Expressway Sdn Bhd as Technical Manager. Involved in the design and build of the New Pantai Expressway Project until 2006. Rejoined Ahmad Zaki Resources Berhad in 2006 as Project Manager for Projek Menaiktaraf Jalan Persekutuan 3 dari Kuantan ke Pekan until 2009 before being assigned to EKVE Sdn Bhd (a subsidiary of Ahmad Zaki Resources Berhad) as Senior Project Manager to lead the first toll highway project for the group, from 2009 until 2016. Involved in the project development stage, alignment design and approvals until the finalization of the concession agreement.
Left to join Muhibbah Engineering (M) Berhad for a new challenge in 2016. Involved in the preliminary works for road and infrastructure projects set up in Doha, Qatar and provides technical supports to Muhibbah Engineering office in the Philiphines as well as appointed as Project Director for Design and Build of Noise Barriers for LRT3 Project.
Manager
Zairulnizam Rohani
Zairulnizam Rohani graduated from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 2003 with a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering Management (Honours).
He has 18 years of experience in the construction field especially in International Airport Development and Road & infrastructure Construction.
Encik Zairulnizam started his career as a Junior Project Engineer attached to the Project MRR Seremban in 2003. The road and infrastructure project was managed by KTV(JV) Sdn Bhd. He was also involved in the challenging construction of upgrading a live airport (International Melaka Airport) with Uni Integrated Sdn Bhd in 2007 where he was responsible for the construction of facilities, runway and the main terminal.
Apart from these, he also managed the Runway Extension for the Melaka Airport in 2009 as a Senior Project Engineer. In 2010, he undertook the task of designing and building the Banting Polytechnic as a Construction Manager. He later joined Vet Sdn Bhd (VETSB) in 2011 as its Project Manager and oversaw the mix development construction at Nusajaya Development, highway maintenance at Senai Desaru Expressway (SDE) and maintenance at the Water Treatment Plant (PUB) Singapore.
Encik Zairulnizam joined PROLINTAS in 2019 as part of the SUKE project management team.
